Elder Worthen

I think that he deserves a nice picture after the crazy one I put in earlier. It is monday morning, and I sit and wait all morning until I recieve the latest email telling me of the last great adventure. Modern technology, what a blessing!

A trip down memory lane!

I just thought it would be fun to show some of Robert's mission pictures similar to Clayton's. The first picture is of Robert in his rain boots. Uruguay gets a lot of rain. The second is his picture pointing to his call. And last, but not least, is Robert's family picture at the MTC. He, his parents, and sister were all in the MTC at the same time, all headed to South America, and all speaking Spanish.

Tired Daddy

Our Daddy works really hard to take good care of us. Some days, he just needs a little nap with his trusty companion, Lucy! ( Lauren's eye patch really adds, don't you think?)

Elder Worthen

This is Elder Worthen. What a handsome kid! The top picture is Clayton, standing in an ice and sleet storm starring at the world. I love the calmness he portrays. This picture, to me, is truly symbolic of his mission so far. There has been a lot of storms, but he quietly relys on the Lord, and his calm. The next picture was taken at the Gettysburg Cemetery. He is standing with his first companion, Elder Crump. The last picture was taken just before leaving the MTC. What a blessing it has been for us to have a missionary serving!

Pennsylvania, Harrisburg Mission, Here he comes!

Pennsylvania, Harrisburg Mission! My son is headed to an amazing place. In his mission is Gettysburg's, the Sesquahanna River, Hershy, Lancaster County. So much history took place in that area. I am so excited for him, and for all the cool quilting material I can get. He leaves on December 3 and we are frantically trying to have him ready.

The Missionary & the WAIT!

Clayton will kill me for this photo, but that is part of the joy of being the mom. I just thought I would write down some of my crazy feelings at this time. Clayton has turned in his papers to serve a 2 year mission for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are waiting anxiously to hear where he will be called to serve. I have waited his whole life for this opportuntiy, and I am so excited for him, and yet I will miss him terribly!

Laurel Trip

SMILE! "Spiritually minded is life eternal." 2 Nephi 9:39. This was the theme of our weekend. We had a great time. We stayed at the Palazzo Hotel on the 41st floor, swam, rode in a limo, ate dinner at the top of the Stratosphere, watched the water show at the Belagio, went through museums, ate dessert and Godiva chocolate at 11:30 at night, went on gondola rides and really nourished our souls in the gospel.
I have been so blessed to have been able to work with these young women, and their leaders. They have strengthened my testimony, lifted my feeble knees, and followed where I have led. Thank You!
